General Terms and Conditions

Terms of use

The use of the Laufbahndiagnostik platform, including the creation of a profile, is free of charge. You need to register initially in order to complete the questionnaire and to use the tools.

When you register, you give your first name and your surname. Your full name then appears on your individual profile. You can use the e-mail function that is integrated into the Laufbahndiagnostik platform to forward your profile. The fact that there is a link between your full name and your profile ensures that your profile will not be confused with anybody else’s profile.

As a client, you can link your account with your counsellor, which means that you give your counsellor access to your account and allow him or her to see your personal data. You can terminate this link at any time and you are not required to give a reason for doing so.

Confidentiality / Security

All data on the Laufbahndiagnostik platform will be treated as strictly confidential by the ZHAW and will not be passed on to third parties. Data will be used for the purposes of research and for the development of the questionnaire and the tools, but no reference will be made to individual persons and the use does not allow any conclusions to be drawn regarding your identity. The only people who have access to your data are those who need it in order to perform their work. Data collected will only be used for the declared purpose and will not be passed on.

Data that you enter on the forms will be encrypted before transmission. The online transmission of personal data takes place at the risk of the user. Data that you have transmitted to us will be saved on our server, stored with all due care and protected from unwanted access by third parties. The input of third party data requires their consent.

Exemption from liability

The ZHAW takes no responsibility for how correct, up-to-date, or complete information provided is, nor for its quality. The ZHAW reserves the express right to change this information at any time and with no prior warning.

Liability claims against the ZHAW due to material or immaterial damages resulting from access, use or non-use of disclosed information (in particular results and recommended action), misuse of the link or technical malfunctions are excluded insofar as this is legally permissible.

The ZHAW accepts no liability for the use of the careers diagnostics platform, nor for the management or administration of data by counsellors.

General Terms and Conditions for access by counsellors

Terms of use

The use of the access to the Laufbahndiagnostik platform for counsellors is not free of charge. An annual fee for use as a counsellor is CHF 500 per counsellor and year (excluding VAT). Only people with proven diagnostics and counselling competence will be granted access to the counsellor’s account. In order to be granted access as a counsellor, you must already have an account on the Laufbahndiagnostik platform and request electronically that this be converted into an counsellor’s account. You will be invoiced when the upgraded account is activated.

When the counsellor’s account is activated, you can connect with your client and see his or her data for as long as the link exists.

The counsellor’s account can be terminated at any time and the account will then be deactivated. The annual fee will not be reimbursed since the full annual fee must be paid, even if the account is terminated during this period.

Confidentiality / Security

Clients must explicitly grant the counsellor access to their personal data. The link may be terminated by the client at any time and he/she is not required to give a reason for doing so.

All of your client’s data must be treated as strictly confidential and must not be passed on to third parties without the consent of the client.

The use of the counsellor’s account is personal and connected to the registered counsellor. Disclosure of access data and use by third parties is forbidden. It is not possible to transfer an existing counsellor’s account to another person; a new account must be created if necessary.

ZHAW / IAP Institute of Applied Psychology reserve the right to withdraw counsellor access in justified cases (e.g. in the case of misuse).

Exemption from liability

Counsellor’s account holders must protect the data from access by third parties and must store the data with all due care. Liability claims against the ZHAW / IAP Institute of Applied Psychology due to material or immaterial damages resulting from improper use of the access as counsellor are excluded insofar as this is legally permissible.
